Karla Powell is a International celebrity, fashion, portrait, beauty Make-up Artist. Working in London, NYC.
Karla plays a pivotal role as Head of Make-Up Artistry for Crownbrush UK; a well-known Cosmetic brush company. Karla grew up in the Midlands before relocating to London in view of taking her career as a professional make-up artist to the next level.
Since studying Theatrical Make-Up for TV and Film, Karla has gained 5 years’ experience in the make-up industry, working with celebrities, creating looks for fashion shows in London and New York and directing campaigns for well-known beauty brands.  She has 3 years’ experience teaching make-up artistry and continues to share her professional knowledge to this day. Karla has worked on a variety of different artistry styles from commercial, Film and TV work to more avant garde work within theatre and body painting events.
She is an avid social media user voted Best Beauty Twitter by Marie Claire and not to mention Karla’s blog that boasts over 300,000 followers which started as early as 2011, it was Tumblr (her blogging platform) that recognised her unique blogging posts and invited her to Tumblr 20.

From this Karla’s blog has a permanent position on Tumblr’s beauty Spotlight alongside top beauty brands and from there Karla’s followers have grown with an average over 300 new followers a week alone! It was Karla’s personal creative style shared through her blog that alas got the attention of her employment in London. Today through Karla’s impressive creative portfolio, she was invited to come on board as Head of Make Up Artistry at some of the UK’s fastest growing beauty businesses and now has been working in London over 12 months where she continues to get her work recognised by leading make-up brands where Karla continues to grow close relationships through her blog and make-up work.

Today Karla’s role as a freelance and brand ambassador for Crownbrush allows her to inspire individuals and pass on her knowledge; teaching aspiring make-up artists and members of the public how to express their individuality through her blog and social platforms.  She leads the next generation of make-up artists whose creative work brings fantasy and creativity to life through the power of social media and continues to inspire others to follow her dreams.
