Adam Murphy, consumer investigative reporter with CBS Atlanta News, has partnered with Fifth Group Restaurants for a charity dining event later this month.
Murphy’s mother, Janice, was diagnosed with PSP two years ago. According to the National Institutes of Health the disease is a dreadful mystery, with no known cure, treatment or cure. “PSP is often misdiagnosed because some of its symptoms are very much like those of Parkinson’s disease (or) Alzheimer’s disease,” an NIH report reads. “I hope you will join me in my pursuit to find a cure for my mom and anyone else that has to live with PSP,” Murphy said in a statement.
The Cure PSP Dine Out is scheduled for for Tuesday, Sept. 25 at South City Kitchen in the Vinings. If more than 50 people will join Murphy for dinner, the restaurant will donate 20 percent of their total sales that evening to the cause.
